Gossip, Lies, & Secrets

We went to the new play brought to you by Marvelous Entertainment, Gossip, Lies, & Secrets tonight at the Civic Center in Atlanta. I guess the Gossip was that the play would include 2 of the most Beautiful Black Women in the world on one stage together. That could also be listed as the LIES because the Secret was that Lisa Raye did not appear at all tonight. Robin Givens took her place (which is not a bad thing because Robin is beautiful as well), but LISA RAYE is the HEADLINE. They had a HUGE picture of her outside of the Civic Center (even tonight when they knew damn well that she would NOT be performing). Even crazier is the fact that the role that Lisa Raye was scheduled to play was shorter than a 30 second commercial.
Someone needs to REFUND the entire TMA staff for this fiasco! Not only did we waste our MONEY on this, but we also wasted our TIME (and in our case.. Time is Money as well).
Kenya Moore showed up, and she did not disappoint (from what we could see in only the first half of the show BEFORE WE LEFT). She carried her lines, and of course she was beautiful. Christopher Williams appeared, and he did well also. He had a few moments where he actually poked fun at himself… that was kind of funny.
Lastly… this definitely seemed like one of those MALE Bashing plays because each man that I saw (again, we only stayed for the first half.. so it might have changed in the second half) was FOUL! Wait.. let me change that.. Most of the men were foul, one man actually played the prototypical “good man”.
The play might have had better results if they had went on the strength of the play instead of the hype of Lisa Raye and Kenya Moore. There was more than one disgruntled attendee that I saw (and heard).
If you want to see a male bashing play – Go see Gossip, Lies, & Secrets. If you want to see Lisa Raye and/or Kenya Moore.. tune into B.E.T. (you might have a better chance of spotting them)

what can you expect from Lisaraye, a woman that proclaims herself of being an actress when she can’t even act, not only that , how can you expect to be respected as an “actress” when you don’t even respect your fans.
Lisaraye is a JOKE and the only thing she is hanging on to is the “FIRST LADY TITTLE”
….. believe me, she’s far from being a FIRST LADY, and the best part of all this is, her Husband knows it. They are a match made in heaven and deserve each other.
LISA RAYE IS A LEGEND IN HER OWN MIND, BUT A COMPLETE LOOSER IN THE MINDS OF THE THINKING PUBLIC. SHE IS A TERRIBLE ACTRESS AND HAS ABSOLUTELY NO TALENT. A BIG BUTT AND A SMILE CAN BE PLAYED FOR ONLY SO LONG. PATHETICALLY CLINGING ON TO THIS SO CALLED TITLE OF FIRST LADY IS AN ALL TIME LOW AND TRYING TO SHOVE IT DOWN OUR THROATS IS HILLARIOUS. WAKE UP AMERICA, FOCUS ON LEGIMATE TALENT.
SO, SINCE EVERYONE WAS DISAPPOINTED THAT THE ACTRESSES WHO WERE SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE PLAY WERE NOT I WAS WONDERING WHAT THE SET, LIGHTS AND SOUIND WAS LIKE? ALSO, WAS THE SINGING AND MUSIC GOOD?
My girlfriend & I saw Gossip. lies, & secrets in Philly. I was really looking forward to seeing Lisa raye. Not only was she not in the play, there was no Blue or Clifton Powell, as advertised on the playbill & radio shows such as Wendy Williams. We were jerked. We paid a nice piece of change. I work hard for my money. The entire audience was dissapointed they did not even clap when it was over. They deceived the public with fraudulent claims, paying actors off to use their names to get over on us. This is really burning me up. I am considering getting a class action suit together with all of the other play goers who were upset. Contact me at sparkleglitter@earthlink.com if you feel the same way. This would not have been done to a white audience. I have no respect for any of these actors or MARVELOUS ENTERTAINMENT!!!!!!
I really liked your article. My compliments!! Thank you!
ok for the person at the top before you decide to talk about someone learn how to spell (title) and lisaraye can act you are just mad cause she has more money than you will every have in your life time. fuck face
