The Boondocks has to be one of the best animated television shows on today…hands down! Well it looks like the show has made itself back into the news again. Apparently the Cartoon Network has unexpectedly shortened the second season from 15 episodes to now 13.
So that means we all will miss “The Huey Freeman Hunger Strike” and “The Ruckus Reality Show.” Allegedly the cancellation is due to the controversial material targeting Black Entertainment Television executives.
Let’s just hope that both episodes will be included on the second season DVD set whenever it is released. I know I’ll be spending my $$ to get it!

So I see one of the sexiest men alive was picked up by the Golden State Warriors. I swear Chris Webber makes watching the NBA games so much easier with his great looks and all…but enough about all that.
I’m sure happy he’s back in the league!
The Gossip Girlz was the first to mention that the Lakers were interested in Webber a couple of weeks ago. Well it looks like the Lakers snoozed on him and he has landed back to the very first team he played for when he entered the league ol’ so long ago, the Golden State Warriors. I’m sure Baron Davis (BD), Stephen Jackson and the rest of the Warriors will welcome CWebb with open arms…but they will have to wait until he completes his team physical. The earliest he could see some playing time would most likely be at Friday’s home game against the Charlotte Bobcats. I’m sure his veteran experience will come in handy during the playoffs.
I wish Chris Webber the best of luck…and a big Gossip Girlz welcome back to league!!!
One question…I wonder if he’ll continue to make beats out there on the West Coast considering he’s a music producer and all? Maybe Baron Davis and Stephen Jackson will start rapping and request some of CWebb’s hot tracks and perform at half-time…now days anything is possible.
You can read more about his return….

I had the extreme pleasure of attending Michael Jordan’s weekend in Nassau, Bahamas a couple of weekends ago. Guest such as Derek Jeter, Charles Oakley, Bob Johnson, Regina King, Fat Joe, Ashanti, Cuba Gooding Jr, Gabrielle Union, Jermaine Dupri, Gary Sheffield, Boris Kodjoe and his lovely wife Nicole Parker and so many others gathered for fun in the sun (and a much needed free vacation for many). Needless to say it was nothing but first class for all the guest! Thanks to the Jordan staff for taking such good care of me. I advise everyone to get to The Cove in Nassau immediately!!!
Anyway, during the elaborate dinner Friday night, Ashanti, The Pussycat Dolls and the O’Jays performed. Out of all the three performances, guess which one got the people out of their seats dancing and doing the conga line? Did you guess The Pussycat Dolls? WRONG! It was the almighty O’Jays! Yes you read correctly. Well considering the age demographic was 40 and older, that shouldn’t come as a shock. But what did come as a shock to me was black and white people were not only dancing, but singing word for word!
So after sharing this story with the other half of Gossip Girlz, this question came up…which artist today will have the longevity success as a group like the O’Jays in the future? The twist had to be an artist that you could see all races jammin to.

It wasn’t too long ago when Lou (Louis) Williams surprised everyone and went straight from high school to playing in the league…basketball that is. Lou was drafted by Philadelphia’s 76’s and has the opportunity to have Allen Iverson as a teammate…before Allen was traded to the Denver Nuggets.
But who knew this young talented player had an interest in radio?
I for one am happy to know that there are some players (NBA, NFL, etc…) that have a skill they can fall back on if the league doesn’t work out for them or when they retire. Some players play their entire life without a Plan B.
And a special shout out to Lou for having Jermaine Dupri handle some of his marketing. Jermaine is currently heard on Atlanta’s own V-103 every Saturday at 9pm. If you’re ever in Atlanta on a Saturday night, make sure you tune in!
Swag Season
You might be late though…

ATLANTA — People began lining up Wednesday outside Walter’s clothing store in downtown Atlanta for Nike’s new Air Jordans that go on sale Friday.
This is the 23rd edition of shoes names for Michael Jordan, who wore the Number 23 jersey. Only 23 pairs will be sold at 23 stores nationwide, with Atlanta and Miami being the only cities in the Southeast.
The shoes cost $230 a pair.
The owner of Walter’s, Jeff Steinbook, says his is the only Georgia store selling the shoes.
The group lined up outside his store was a mix of 20-something Michael Jordan fans and middle-aged professionals.
A financial analyst from Stone Mountain, 45-year-old Vince Shields, took off two days from work. He says he plans to add the new Air Jordans to his collection
Did we say looking good? My bad… Summer Walker Looking GOOD AS HELL at recent photo shoot
