Def Jam has always been a sink or swim kind of label. It was tradition that they always had a roster of artists that were already big and buzzing.. unless they were under a sublabel. However, with ATL taking over and other artists just LOSING out here... I DON'T like what they are doing over at Def Jam. Long gone are the days where you could print up those small ass posters (cause they were never really big on them shits anyway) and have a street team of ONE hang them up in a city before a release. I don't remember very many commercials and all that shit for their artists. In the times where Sigel needs fucking help... among others... they need to beef up their marketing. Shit, in my eyes even Ludacris needs a little help. Am I lying? Videos are consistantly good. although that freeway (I think it was him) jumpoff was a little pointless for me. Its going to take a lot more than simple hot videos to gem them paid. They need artist management over there... these rappers are losing! What is Beanie Sigels image again? Right!
