   But I mean… as for him being a crackhead… in the hood, thats really how it is. 1985 was the beginning of a downfall of many in my city. But you still have to respect them for what they were. An OG is an OG.

   @ HH, The soft and the hard put a hurting on all urban black communities. Cocaine(specifically crack) will make the hardest nig charmin soft if they become addicted. What I can’t figure out is why someone in their 20’s ends up a crackhead. We all grew up seeing the effects of the hard, what do they think they are beyond becoming a crackhead?

   Who’s ever think poppin pills, sippin syrup and all that shit would be popular? We are in the age of alternative highs. It’s not just CRACK (ir. my example of 1985– when it hit my city). You got hood niggas smoking WET (and it’s said casually… like.. as if it were some sour deez or something). People poppin ecstacy (hello long term side-effects).

   When one high isn’t high enough… you reach for another one. Lacing blunts… OR selling the shit and trying it. Many of my asian boys used to be on that shit like… try this pill. SMH… shit is a no go. People need to stop cosigning addictions.

   Mimi (me) wishes the fuck she would mess with a dude with those type of habits. You can’t even kiss me after ROLLING a blunt. And cancer sticks will get you deaded… never mind all the other shit going on.

   Its a problem when people dont comment on the fuckery when it starts.

   @ Pullum… it can make the hardest nigga a marshmellow… but in terms of OGs… and being crackheads.. that shit is widespread. Therefore, any REAL person will still give props where do. Majority of that generation got strung out and some never recovered. It doesn’t mean they didnt earn their stripes and respect.

   @ HH by NO means am I saying that an og isn’t an og because they developed a crack addiction.
   Wet ain’t no new shit in the hood. My uncles were smoking that back in the late 70’s/early 80’s like it was the cool thing to do. Apparently I was around this a time or 2 as baby. Drugs f*cked my dad’s family up which is probably why I never experimented with them.
   Part of the whole pill poppin thing is that some people assume because it’s a pill it isn’t that harmful, which couldn’t be further from the truth.
   As far as stuff being laced, from what I’ve been told is that blunts laced with coke go down real smooth. As in your lungs and throat can tell a difference.
   I tried smoking a cigarette when I was 4 which thankfully didn’t work out well, the only time I’ve tried to smoke anything. I can be in a room with people doing any type of drug and it doesn’t appeal to me(or make me nervous) to even try (excluding when I was in Amsterdam @ 15, but still didn’t try anything.) But to each their own.
   I drink and really try not to over do it when I do drink since my tolerance is so low now.
