Lil Wayne To Launch New Champagne…
Lil Wayne has partnered with Milestone Brands and French grower Voirin-Jumeh, to create his own brand of champagne. Halo Champagne, which Wayne introduced to the world in the video for his chart topping hit “Lollipop,” is set to launch later this year. “I’m excited about this venture with Milestone Brands,” Lil Wayne told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “Champagne is for celebrating. There are so many different business opportunities…I want to take advantage of it all. I’m ready to put my foot in a new door.”
Halo Champagne consists of four distinctive sub-brands, each with its own flavor. Halo Brut, contains various flavors and a citrus finish, with hints of lemon cream and roasted hazelnut. Halo Brut Vintage features a classic, creamy consistency and a stronger mix of lemon blossoms and almonds. Halo Rose, a combination of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, offers an aroma of pomegranate, crushed raspberries, and mint.
Finally, Halo Pinnacle is a fruity Chardonnay blend, capped off by hints of lime-tree flower and roasted hazelnuts. Wayne’s French partner, Voirin-Jumeh is recognized as one of the finest makers of Chardonnay-based champagne. The company, based in the Grand Cru Village of Cramant in Northeast France, has been known traditionally for artisanal champagne making.

Anything over and above a ‘hint” of these flavors will equal a “champale” rather than champagne. With some of these robost flavors they describe, they are venturing off the beaten path of champagne as most have come to know it!

@ TMA… Actually, the times I went to 72, I barely drank. Upstairs it takes forever to find a waitress (mad lazy) and being 5 feet tall at the bar is annoying. The bar in the back is a good look… usually shoter lines. I know this lil groupie nigga spilled like 2 glasses on me in VIP and I damn near took flight on his ass.
I just started because it doesn’t even taste that good. Like Perrier Joulet Rose is soo EW to me. It has to be fresh off the ice for me to drink. Moet Rose I can tolerate… Cristal goes down very well. And the buzz takes a while… it’s just… not somthing I’m really into heavy. But I DO have random tastes for it now.
Since it’s champagne talk …I haven’t hand anything brut that I’m feeling, too bitter for me. But I love White Star Moet and plan on trying Rose Moet and Nectar Imperial Moet at some point. I’m no baller so I’ve never tasted any of the more expensive stuff like Cris, Perrier J, Armand de Brignac, etc. One thing I found hilarious was Flav serving Korbel on FOL 3. But I can’t front, back in the day I would get a bottle of Andre and mimosa it out on the solo tip. Speaking of Andre, one of my funniest club experiences was seeing Andre sold for 20 a bottle. Who buys Andre to stunt at the club and better yet, why is the club selling Andre?
THH- you are sleeping on the Cafe. Other than being hella slow, whether its a crowd or not, those grits and that french toast is a beast! I dont eat pork so the turkey meat options…etc are a good look for me. although they served up some nasty azz turkey sausage last time i went.
Food and service has fallen off though and I eat there quite often so I can tell. About like Harlem Bar and the pits that is Justins. Thats why I say I need to hurry and get to Luda’s resturant before the newness wears off and their food and service quality decrease. Black folk good for that.
GIRLLLLLLLLL…. after 72 one night… they said Nelly put in a big order (mind u spot was empty) my food took maaaaaaaaaaaaaaad long. I was talking MAD shit!!!! Like if I wanted to wait like this, I’d have went to the diner downtown!! Good thing the people were nice and dudes who came to scoop the food had jokes… I was pissy about it.
