3 years after Katrina devastated New Orleans… the residents are told to evacuate again??? Gustav is on the way, and it could reach a category 5 by Monday. Let’s Hope not…
Hurricane Gustav could hit Louisiana on Monday with devastating effect and officials pleaded with Gulf Coast residents to flee and Republicans said they’d abbreviate the opening day of their national convention. As of 5 p.m. ET, the eye of the Category 3 storm was about 215 miles south-southeast of the mouth of the Mississippi River, the National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida, said. Hurricane-force winds could hit Louisiana’s southern coast by sunrise Monday, and the storm’s center could hit southwest of New Orleans by early Monday afternoon, CNN meteorologists said.
It’s a shame that these residents have to be relocated again, but seriously though, I would just up and move, my common sense tells me this lol, but hey I also understand that times are rough and the majority of those resident’s can’t afford to just up and bounce, so my prayer’s go out to all of them during this emergency, may God be with them and their families.

Didn’t the mandatory evacuation start today? They need to fix those damn levy thingies. And stop trying to push tourism to a place that they’re not saving. I sont want to step on contaminated soil or devastated land when I pay their high ass taxes while shoppin during Essence Fest 09.
