You can’t be White and cover Vibe?

In a recent interview with Billboard, R&B singer Robin Thicke sounded off on some of his troubles in the music industry—specifically with Vibe magazine.
Thicke, who rose to industry prominence in 2006 under the watchful eye of Pharrell and Star Trak Records was denied the cover of the monthly publication because he’s white.
“When I did a recent interview with Vibe magazine I asked, ‘Why can’t I get the cover? This is a magazine I love. If there’s one magazine that I’d want to be on the cover of, it’s Vibe,’” Thicke said of the situation.
The response he received was startling.
“Their response was they don’t have white artists on the cover; that the only white artist they’ve had on the cover was Eminem. I guess if that’s what it is, it is what it is. And I respect that because I live in a house with a black woman.”
Despite the incident, Thicke is taking the trials and tribulations in stride, refusing to condemn the decision of the magazine as reverse racism.
“I won’t use the word ‘racism.’ I will say it’s a tough — but rewarding — fight,” he says.

LOL. However, who knew Vibe had that policy? If Em’ can get the cover, Robin Thicke should be able to as well. White is White, baby. The door was already opened… better start letting people in!

I think he should never said anything because we all know he gonna get quoted on this,But nothing wrong speaking your mind either. Maybe Vibe this time around will let him be on the cover.
I really don’t see Vibe saying that…Gwen Stefani, Robert Deniro, Eminem….He’s just not that dope at the moment. he can blow but he doesn’t deserve the cover…puhhhlease…wait, does Mariah, B-Rock Obama, or Michael Jackson count??!! you buggin Robin.
who asks that anyway??! you don’t ask for the cover! LOL! I can see him maybe makin the cover in 06 but usually vibe puts the hot shit on and he’s not bubblin yet.

@HH, he’s married to the actress Paula Patton who’s definitely “things I would do” worthy.
Is he even moving units to be worthy of a cover? Robin you aren’t a megastar yet, know your role and shut your mouth.
