The Answer is NO!!!! I think MTV is retarded for making these commercials… How is anything happening in america remotely close to the holocaust? There is a HUGE difference in the two. I think the real question is “Is MTV anti american?”
Stick to music videos MTV…Oh yeah you don’t do that anymore.
I agree and disagree. I dont think they meant something like the holocoust happening today. But the concept is very close to home. I went to PA in like 2004 for NYE. Just woke up… hopped on public transportation and went and got on the bus. I seen the miliary at the bridges in those large tanker cars. That shit is scary.
I think it’s about lack of power. If they did approve martial law in the streets— and think how close city and state police work together— then bring in the federal goverment and you can already see laws, and jurisdiction lines blurred and you will see why this really is a problem. Its about the lack of freedom.
I wonder if they have commercials that say SLAVERY happened to people like us— fuckin doubt it.
Anyway, this is 2008, if they are trying to get the youth to pay more attention to the issues of today, I do applaud MTV. Whether they suck or not, their network is huge and if any network was going to try to reach adolescents, MTV would be the one. Although… I agree, I wouldn’t really want them taking the position to EDUCATE the next generation.
So yeah… I agree and disagree.
