What is it and how were winners chosen? Basically, we put our personal favorites (and thoughts of people we think should sit in a corner somewhere) aside and came up with a list of twenty artists, Hip-Hop and R&B, who have:
-Dropped a hot album
-Dropped hot singles
-Been on the covers (or between the pages) of many magazines
-Had a huge scandal or juicy gossip (this is a blog)
-Had a good year via YouTube and WorldStarHipHop, etc.
-Had a great year on tour
-Changed the game
The list is comprised of artists that had a good year in 2008. If you had a big album release but no one really cosigned the effort, that was taken into consideration. This is our version of the People’s Choice Awards.
