…to make him understand his vision with his new artist, Dondria.

This past weekend I ran a post on Jermaine Dupri’s new artist Dondria Nicole AKA Phatfffat. I questioned whether or not he had somebody worth listening to or just another nameless singer who was going to fall by the wasteside. Well almost instantly after that post went up I was contacted by the music mogul himself requesting for me to come to his private studio so that he could set me straight on who this Dondria chick really is….

Media Takeout is running a story that is scheduled to appear in the next issue of Hip Hop Weekly. Allegedly Jacki-O is spilling the beans about having to give up the ass for her (recording) cash! LOL!!!! That is foul!!!!!

Jacki-O (allegedly) says:

“Everybody that signed [to Poe Boy] had gotten their advance money, but when it came time for me to get my advance, I had to f-ck for my advance. It was ten stacks ($10,000) and I had to f-ck for it. So naturally it wasn’t something that I’m proud of doing. And I don’t advise any female to get into no business - be it music or whatever - and get exploited like that …

[E Class] told me I had to have sex with him to get the ten stacks. That’s how me and him got into a relationship. But that was the situation I had to face, and I made the wrong turn.

But I’m from the hood and if somebody offers you ten thousand dollars at one time to get out of the hood, and lets you go for your dream of doing music, you’re gonna run to that.”

Shout out to All Hip Hop

Bay area rapper Mac Minister was found guilty today in the double murders of Anthony “Fat Tone” Watkins and associate Jermaine ‘Cowboy” Atkins. Minister, real name Andre Dow and age 37, was convicted along with his friend Jason “Corleone” Mathis of two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of conspiracy to commit murder. The trial lasted less than a week.

Prosecutors claimed that Minister committed the crime in retaliation for the November 2004 murder of Andre “Mac Dre” Hicks, which sparked whisperings of potential gang warfare between Kansas City and Bay Area artists. While never charged, Fat Tone was rumored to be behind the Mac Dre killing.

In May 2005, Fat Tone and Cowboy were ambushed in Las Vegas, arriving there based on a promise by an unspecified party to meet a representative for Snoop Dogg’s label.

Their bodies were later found riddled with AK-47 bullets at a construction site outside of Las Vegas. MGM Grand security cameras documented Minister leaving the hotel with two men just hours before the slaying.

Ramdomly speaking…

Lauryn Hill

I miss her.

Newcomer, Jazmine Sullivan is killing the game right now with her single, “Need U Bad”. I initially heard this song sitting in the car in Brooklyn, waiting on my girls to hop in. Honey, I thought Lauryn Hill was back! Seriously, I felt tears coming.

But nope. Wishful thinking, I guess.

I saw this article last week and my initial thoughts were that a)it was well written, b)what the hell does TIME know about Rap? Like what exactly is their basis for naming ANYONE the best.. are they qualified to even judge?

But then this week we had a little mini family reunion.. and there were a bunch of teenagers (including my daughter, son, nieces, cousins, etc..) and they would bug out EVERY TIME LIL WAYNE WAS ON THE RADIO OR TV

Hmmmmmmm…. Wayne IS very popular right now.. he IS selling at a time when no one else seems to be… he IS creative and making his own path.. well damn.. maybe TIME magazine is onto something here

When Kanye West went on national television after Hurricane Katrina devastated parts of the US and said “George Bush doesn’t care about black people,” he let it be known that he was politically aware and opinionated. Now, he’s taking it into the new year and the new election.

Kanye West joins the artists tapped to appear at this year’s Democratic Convention in Denver, CO. N.E.R.D. and Wyclef Jean will also perform at a party for MTV and the Rock the Vote Campaign going on during the Convention. Festivities for the Convention will begin August 25 and will go on for three days.

Guess who’s out of jail already??

Khloe Kardashian.

Yeah, I really don’t care either. What happened is more interesting that who it happened to.

Apparently she spent about 3 hours locked up, opposed to her 30-day sentencing for DUI. Why?? “Prison overcrowding”. Are we shocked?

There is a reason these “really shouldn’t be famous” and dysfunctional celebrity families live in Los Angeles, honey! Try that *ish on the east coast and you’ll be sharing ‘3 hots & a cot’ with Remy Ma.

I’m waiting for one of these celebutantes to actually kill someone while DUI.
Such a mess…

Exposed?: Rick Ross
Earlier this week, I posted Rick Ross addressing Trick Daddy’s allegations that he used to be a CO. He took it very personal too. Of course, he denied it. But then this comes along……………..

How about the only time I EVER hear these rumors is when he’s addressing them. He is killing me with this and honestly, all of the bass in his voice is letting us know it has become personal. He’s upset and it’s showing.

Can we get back to the money?
